Phil, 38, has been on the VFD since 1992, and is our Fire Prevention Officer. His favorite truck on the VFD is Engine #1 in the Officer's seat of course. Phil also has numerous fire/rescue courses under his belt and is a registered EMR. He is a member of the 2004 and 2005 Provincial Hose Coupling Champions and was awarded the VFD Employee of the Year in 2004.

Phil is married to Lisa and has one daughter, Jenna, and one son, Tyson. His  interests include quadding, fishing, hunting, and putzing around on the computer. Phil is employed with Immigration Canada CSIS and works casually with Prairie EMS and is a "Caller" at Vegreville Alclub Bingo. He is also one of Vegreville's Town Councilors, and presently is an "RCMP Specialist Favorite".

"I really enjoy working with the public (children especially) in town on fire prevention/life safety lessons. My extra curricular activities relating to the department and other town duties keep me very active".
